KEY POINTS

One of Borussia Dortmund's top stars Raphael Guerreiro is linked to BarcelonaThis rumored transfer was said to be met with Lionel Messi's approvalThe addition of Guerreiro can assist players such as Jordi Alba and Junior Firpo

It’s important that the board in every club understands the needs of its top players in terms of making critical offseason signings. A recent report speculating that Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro is linked to Barca is reportedly met with approval from Lionel Messi.

There’s no question that Guerreiro is one of the bigger names in the market. The Portuguese football player has been a staple name for the German club Borussia Dortmund and has made a name for himself as a formidable midfielder. The 26-year-old has proven himself as a gifted offensive superstar with the way he’s able to move around the pitch.

In 115 appearances  with Borussia Dortmund, Guerreiro was able to score on 23 separate occasions. To add to these, he was also able to assist on 21 goals. The way he maneuvers around the defenders and approaches the game with the combination of strength and agility puts him above everyone else.

The elite skills that Guerreiro has displayed have caught the attention of Barcelona as they’re seeking for someone of the same offensive prowess. Despite having the services of veteran Jordi Alba in their club, it would benefit the squad better if they sign someone with the youth and potential of someone like Guerreiro.

A signing like Guerreiro may assist Barcelona on the weak left flank given Junior Firpo’s recent struggles. Per Everything Barca, Messi is said to appreciate these rumors to add depth to their club. The possibility of someone like Guerreiro’s caliber would elevate Barca even more given the energy and overall consistency he adds.

Having the approval of Messi indicates the level of where Guerreiro is now and where he’s projected to be in years to come. It has been a stellar career for Messi given that he’s lauded as one of the best individual players the sport has ever seen. The record-breaking six Ballon d’Or shows the brilliance and respect he has as an athlete and a football professional.

The next few months will be interesting to monitor given how the teams are slowly bouncing back provided the current situation. Expect Barcelona and Messi to keep an eye out on these rising stars for a potential transfer in the near future

Veteran singer and songwriter, Innocent Idibia, popularly mentioned as 2baba has opened on why he chose his wife, Annie Idibia, over the opposite women in his life when it had been time for him to settle down .

2baba in an interview spoke well of all the past women he’s dated and baby mamas but spoke expressly on Annie.

When Dj Anyaloko, the journalist interviewing 2Face Idibia asked him why he chose to marry Annie Idibia out of all the ladies in his life, he said;

'You see Perro Aseniyi who gave birth to my first son graduated from a top UK university as a medico and is now a doctor. She is extremely beautiful and intelligent from a very wealthy family’

He continued;

‘Sandra who gave birth to my other two kids could also be a dealer in expensive diamond and gold jewelries. She was already a multi-millionaire once I met her. She owns one of the foremost expensive houses in Banana Island. Her family too are alright to undertake to .

He also spoke about Sumbo;

‘Sumbo who gave birth to 2 kids on behalf of me is additionally a very intelligent first-class lawyer. She has worked on and won many big cases for several wealthy men and ladies within the country and abroad. That’s how she made her money and she too is extremely beautiful also.

Then with a light-weight smile he spoke about Annie. He said;

 ‘but you see Annie is from a mean background like myself. We both started from nothing. She stuck by me through it all. When there was no car she hopped on bikes, took the bus and trekked with me. When there was no money or house or hit song or many albums sold or big awards and accolades.

When I used to repeat just 3 sets of clothes , she would always hold my head, look me within the eyes and tell me things are going to be fine at some point . once I wasn’t handsome, she would call me her suitor. once I wasn’t celebrated, she called me her king and said she is my favorite fan and to this day, she still is.

Even once I made it big as a musician and commenced misbehaving and controversies almost destroyed my career, she would go down on her knees and pray to God to means me the way and provides me victory over my enemies.

Now if am still that tiny boy struggling to make it like every other young chap on the streets of Lagos, do i feel a doctor, a lawyer and a multi-millionaire business woman would want to look at me or even have my kids? No, so to answer your question, I didn't chose who had more to provide me, I chose Annie because she offered me her all once we had very little

OAKLAND, Calif. — A federal law enforcement officer who was shot and killed while providing security at the U.S. courthouse in Oakland during a protest has been identified.

Dave Patrick Underwood, 53, died from gunshot wounds sustained after someone fired shots from an unidentified vehicle Friday night, the FBI said Sunday.

Another officer was critically injured in the drive-by shooting outside the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building. An update on the officer’s condition has not been released.

No one has been arrested and a motive for the shooting has not been determined. The FBI, Oakland police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were investigating the shooting.

The contract security officers worked for the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service and were monitoring a nearby protest over the police killing of George Floyd in Minnesota, according to DHS officials.

Underwood was the brother of Angela Underwood Jacobs, recently a Republican candidate to fill a vacant U.S. district north of Los Angeles.

“My brother, Dave Patrick Underwood, a federal officer, was murdered 5/29/20 in Oakland California, while on duty during the riots,” she posted on Facebook Saturday. “This Violence Must Stop.”

Underwood graduated from high school in Pinole, a working-class suburb north of Oakland. Friends told the Richmond Standard that he participated in Soulful Softball Sunday, a community group centered on softball games and charity.

“He was a good man, everybody in the community loved him,” his friend Antwon Cloird said.

The protest in downtown Oakland began peacefully Friday but sank into chaos late into the night. City officials said at least 70 businesses were damaged or destroyed. Police said 13 officers were injured.

It wasn’t immediately known if the killing was related to the protest.

The federal building’s glass doors were smashed and the front entrance was sprayed with anti-police graffiti.

Federal officials said they’re seeing more threats and assaults against law enforcement officers at protests and warned that an attack against officers or police stations is considered an act of domestic terrorism.
